Took Friday afternoon off and headed to San Remo - just the other side of the bridge from Phillip Island. The wind forecast was marginal but we arrived to a great steady wind - probably 16 knots getting up to 18 at times. Excellent session on the nugget on glorious flat, clean water.
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7158493644986865164.post-26067078441735499362024-02-04T20:31:00.003+11:002024-02-04T20:31:32.174+11:002024 02 02 - Sneaky pre band kite at Hampton with Stu
title says it all. The wind had backed off a little, but very nice to have things under control again. And what a cracker. What looked to be a little over 20 knots soon turned out to be quite a bit more. We put kites up and I was somewhat surprised that James headed straight downwind. Once I was on the water it was clear that the wind was quite a bit stronger than we thought. Got some massive massive air, thought about pulling a loop coming down but worried I would end up in the dunes. After 30 mins it got to the point where I could barely hold the kite down. James pulled safety so we put kites down happy to have got through the session.
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7158493644986865164.post-67473365541023234372023-09-30T09:15:00.001+10:002023-09-30T09:15:22.094+10:002023 09 09 - Aspendale - back in the cold(er) water
Out the front of Taz's house on the nugget but no Taz to be seen.
