28 Jun 2014 - Big wind at Frankston

Image
James and I hit Frankston on the tail of an exceptionally windy week in Melbourne.  122km/h was recorded this week at South Channel, fortunately for us the wind oscillated between 25 and 30 knots.  Great small kite weather, we both had a blast.  I've got a small amount of pain in my left foot again, hopefully it clears away. 21 Jun 2014 - Glorious morning at Rosebud

James and I hit Rosebud at around 7:30 for a fantastic morning session in beautiful water with a nice 17-18 knot breeze.  Foot is fine and its a great thing to be kiting first thing in the morning.

15 Jun 2014 - Foot is ok

Its been one of the longest breaks from kiting I've ever had - waiting for my weird foot problem to heal up.  Spent a couple of hours down at Hampton in nice 17 knots, on both the twin tip and surfboard without any problem - great to get through the session, fun to be back on the water. Helped out Gianluca who is progressing well.  His kite is pretty hard to fly though - its a Cabrinha Nomad - one of those kites I'm not a big wrap for.

04 May 2014 - Dodging storms in Hampton

Great session following Japan trip - got out on the twintip and the surfboard. Nice little waves, quite strong wind and great to get wet again. My foot was fine for 95% of the time - I hurt it again doing a front grab - it seems to be sideways pressure giving me grief.

12 April 2014 - Altona - smells like good wind

Awesome session on the surfboard at Altona.  The twintip is still hurting my left foot, but on the surfboard is fine. Wind was amazing, spent about 2 hours in the water.  Managed a backroll and forward 360 on the surfboard, air transition, did a big tour and rode some waves.  Great prep for Japan.

05 April - surf action

Just enough wind at mentone.  My foot is still sore in the twintip, the left foot on top when I am going right. Great motivation to go on the surfboard, absolutely no pain on that.  Managed to nail 5 gybes in a row, getting there.

22 Mar 2014 - KS weekend - session 3

When you have the opportunity, you just gotta take it. Upon returning to Hampton, the wind still looked up.  James and I pulled on our wet wetsuits and gave it another crack.  The wind was pretty ordinary though, and we were over fighting it, so after a few runs on the surfboard, we both gave up.
