Kiteventure

 Headed down to Rosebud with James, hit the beach at 930.  Forecast was for base of 24 and gusts to 40, but it was a bit light on the beach so we went out on the big kites.  I setup the 10 and just depowered on the lines. Wind was fantastic, strong but consistent.  We made our way up to the pier, lots of big jumps and fun in the waves.  Had a bit of trouble with the depower, otherwise all was super fun.  Stu and Mark were on the small kites, having arrived a little later.  No problem though holding down 25 knots on the 10.

 Seem to have gone to chode again

 Went down to chode for a play.  Got absolutely nailed on a wave and lost my glasses.  Michaels leading edge deflated so we had to go on a rescue mission.

 Again, scratching to get more wind.  Spent some time at ufos before curiously checking out what Michael was up to at Gang bangs.

 Jumping session in front of the kite shack to finish off the day.

 Wind came in so straight out to Bagus for some big wave action.  Awesomeness.

 Just working it hard to keep on a line in front of the kite shack.

 Went back into the old spot to get further upwind but lots of work.

 More wind and more waves to be ridden.

 Headed up to Bagus for some wave action.  Wind good enough to ride a bunch of waves.  

 Finally some decent wind to go upwind a bit.  Mostly in front of the kite shack and gang bangs.

 Enough to hold a line but hard work.  Lots of backroll kiteloops.

 Headed out in front of the kite shack and went down to chode again.  A bit more wind but still not fully powered.

 Enough wind to muck around in front of the kite hut.  Went to chode but barely had enough wind to make it back.

 Out at the new spot again, out for a while just working the marginal wind.  Focussed on Michael Collins for a minute, dipped the tip of the kite in the water and couldn't relaunch.  Given the rocks on the beach, I pulled the safety and sailed in.

 interesting , but not quite enough wind.
