Kiteventure

 Had to debate whether to go small or big kite at first.  Got the big kite out and it was perfect.  Headed up to the pier where the water was a little cleaner.  Fun waves and big air.  Landed one jump badly and smacked in very shallow water.  Totally overpowered at times as it came in hard towards the end of the session.  Ripping day !

 Ominous signs so I put up a 7m with Taz and James.  Went one way and just running parallel to the shore, turned around and the front hit and I was able to go a lot upwind.  Wind really started cranking and was getting serious air so decided to pull a kite loop and glide in.  Unfortunately I was fully powered so I got absolutely spanked.  Super fun session, got to jump across to the nugget when the wind backed off a bit.  And also got to see the latest cut of the Lombok movie. yay.

 Season has kicked off in style with a Sunday evening sea breeze session.  Got out on both the nugget and the twin tip.  Saw Natalie, Rich, Steve - same crew as always.  Took a beating at times but that is all part of the fun.

 Great forecast so why the hell not.  Day trip to Sandy point with James, Rich, Garry, Taz.  Great solid wind, big waves, standard awesome fare for Sandy point.

 Fun session with James where Pete puts his kite up into the tree.  Climbs the tree, branch breaks and Pete falls out of the tree.   just a normal day.

 Wind was up and the waves were too.  Headed down to Point Leo with Stu and James.  Amazing conditions.  Very windy and cold.  Put the small kite up as the wind was looking really dodgy.  About 20 mins in it was the right decision, it hit really hard.  The surf was the best ever, got onto some incredibly fun waves.  So much fun.

 hell yeah, lots of distance - 53km.  fun.

 good waves and a big wipeout.  Got dragged over the reef but thank goodness for my business socks / reef socks. yeah.

 Launched at the old spot and the wind was absolutely cranking.  Had a session on Stu's board at first, then the wind picked up, grabbed the twin tip and headed for the surf.  Had a ball.

Wind appeared from nowhere so james and i took full advantage.  Seaford was magic as always. really nailing rotational jumps on the nugget.  met remi again. 

Out of nowhere, a great forecast for Hampton for Sunday afternoon.  Met James and Garry.  About half the time on the nugget, half on the twin tip, sometimes overpowered and sometimes just enough.  Wonderful to get out - charged the batteries.  Did smash into the nugget though on one trick and banged the top of my thigh pretty bad. 

 Got a go on both today.  Very overcast day and kinda cold (9 degrees) so took a bit of extra motivation to get to the beach.  James was sick, Stu riding motorbikes, Taz airport run so landed at Aspendale solo.  Wind was a bit on the lighter side and not cold enough yet to really push through so had a great first hour on the nugget.  It cranked up a little so jumped on the twin tip and had a great time relearning a bunch of rotational tricks and kiteloops.

 a teeny bit cold in the water.  Fun westerly, you could go for ages in both directions.

 With James and Taz, great swell, perfect wind, big air and secondary lift.

 Headed back to Hampton after a surf at the right hander at Cat Bay/Flynns.  Was just enough on the twin tip but roaring on the nugget so nugget action ahoy.

 Stu arrived to join James and I.  Wind had moderated a tiny bit but still enough to do several crossings to Phillip Island and back.

 Start of the kiting weekend.  Took Friday afternoon off and headed to San Remo - just the other side of the bridge from Phillip Island. The wind forecast was marginal but we arrived to a great steady wind - probably 16 knots getting up to 18 at times.  Excellent session on the nugget on glorious flat, clean water.  

 title says it all.  Awesome night.

 Back to school and trying all the tricks.  darkslide, raley, frontroll kiteloop transition.  So much fun.

 Freakin epic kite with Stu in monster waves.  Incredible runs up the face then surfing down the line.  Had a big stack first up though in front of Alexander and hit the reef as I was body dragging around.

 Launched at about 615.  The only one there - wind was marginal at first but came in nicely.  Water is so warm !

 What a cracker !  Went down with James, Stu, Dobbo and met Pete on the beach.  Perfect 27 knot wind and big waves.  What a spot - just amazing.

 Wasn't quite enough wind for twin tip but what the heck, great to be on the water again.
